Addiction recovery has never been a straight path for me. It has been messy, unpredictable, and often uncomfortable, but it has also been a profound process of growth and becoming. Addiction isn’t a story that ends neatly with abstinence or relapse; it is a shifting, ongoing negotiation of who we are in relation to ourselves, our communities, and the wider world. Over the years, I have carried lessons that have shaped not only my recovery but also how I understand myself as a neurodivergent person.
