Recently, I was messaged here on substack, completely unsolicited by someone being friendly and appreciative of my work. I consider myself quite savvy with the online world, but after a few messages it became apparent to me that something wasn't right.

As an Autistic and ADHD person with a complex profile of mental health needs, people being supportive of my work and wanting to connect feels good. I have often felt alone, and so for someone to want to connect is a positive feeling.

Unfortunately, this leaves me vulnerable to exploitation.
